RULES.
JOINING AND REGISTRATION
JOINING AND REGISTRATION
Rule One. Please read all the rules before filling in an application. Also, please check the canons before you make an original.
Rule Two. To join City of Luck just register and post your character application on the board "pending applications" within a week of joining. If your application is not posted within the time limit, your account will be deleted. You will have five days to complete a normal application. A week to complete a canon application.
Rule Three. Your display name must be your character's first, middle and last name all in lowercase.
Rule Four. For each character you create, you must register as another member. No multiple characters on one account.
Rule Five. You may create as many characters as you like, but all must be actively roleplayed on the site. We would also like that you keep your ratio between male and female quite equal as it will help keep the overall site ratio neat. It isn't realistic to have 6009009850 girls and only 5 guys.
Rule Six. Please don't have huge signatures for your characters as they stretch the board. If your signature stretches the board it will be removed and there will be a note as to why it was taken down. Avatar dimensions are a maximum of 100x300.
Rule Seven. All characters should be over the age of 18. If you want a character under eighteen, please PM an admin.
Rule Eight. In accordance with the age rule, your character PB's should generally fit in with the age group.
Rule Nine. As always, only one character per PB. Unless they are identical twins, in which case you need to PM an admin. Make your claims as soon as you are accepted! Please check the faceclaims beforehand to avoid any disappointment.
Rule Ten. You have 3 days to redo any denied applications. After that they will be locked. In regards to canon applications, you will have five days. If you do not get the character, feel free to audition again... in several weeks.
Rule Eleven. Diversity in characters is important. Please don't create a lot of emo/goths or whores or a whole bunch of perfectly normal characters. Have each of your characters have something different that happened in their histories, not everyone comes from a perfect family. But then again, not every character is going to be raped, beaten or abused. Be creative!
OUT OF CHARACTER
Rule Twelve. No fighting with other members. In character fighting is fine but its just stupid to fight with someone you may not even know.
Rule Thirteen. No discrimination, pornography, inappropriate threads or racism is to be expressed on the site. If I see it you will be deleted without warning.
Rule Fourteen. No spamming any part of the site especially the C-Box.
Rule Fifteen. Please no cursing out of character. It is just not needed.
Rule Sixteen. Please respect all the staff. All members are, of course, allowed to express their opinions about the site and important site events. But please respect the people who run the site and put your ideas into play.
ROLEPLAYING
Rule Seventeen. All roleplay is to be in 3rd person. No "I did this" etc.
Rule Eighteen. All roleplaying posts must be no less than 300 words. This is not a lot. We will not check all posts but if we look at a thread a see a whole bunch of short posts you will be warned and your posts monitored.
Rule Nineteen. Please don't have too many people per thread as it just gets too confusing. Unless it is site wide event but even then we will split them up so there aren't way too many people and so that people wont get left behind if they live in a different time zone.
Rule Twenty. Please use quotation marks or another form to identify when your character is talking to another character.
Rule Twenty One. If you are going to have sexual content or content of a graphic nature in your thread, please mark the thread with an [m] or other notification so unsuspecting members will be warned. Sexual content, drug use, and other topics of a graphic nature [in character] are not forbidden, as this site is PG-13.
